LSQ Condos: Development Info
Current plans call for LSQ to consist of approximately 1,500 housing units spread between seven high-rise towers. The project’s first phase will consist of two buildings and a total of around 800 units. At street level, the towers will be ringed by a podium of townhouses. This will allow for the creation of a more pedestrian-friendly neighborhood. Designed by award-winning architecture firm WZMH, LSQ will feature a distinct exterior design. As a result, a higher number of units will include private balconies.
Location Profile
LSQ Condos sits at the intersection of Victoria Park and Sheppard Avenue. Bus routes on both of these thoroughfares are part of the TTC’s Ten Minute Network, and have a service frequency of ten minutes or less. Don Mills subway station is just a short distance to the west, putting much of the GTA in reach via transit. Highway 401 runs just to the south, while the Don Valley Parkway is also nearby. In addition, the surrounding neighborhood includes a variety of amenities within walking distance:
- A Food Basics is just steps to the north, while a Foodland and a No Frills are short drive to the west and east, respectively.
- CF Fairview Mall lies a short distance down Sheppard Avenue.
- The nearby Betty Sutherland Trail offers a tranquil hiking and biking area.
- The area surrounding the development site is currently home to a major employment hub, with approximately 32,000 jobs expected to be concentrated here in the future.
- A new rapid transit line is planned to be built along Sheppard East in the coming years, and will feature a station within walking distance.
