2400 Eglinton West Condos: Development Info
The 2400 Eglinton West Condos are to occupy the current site of the Westside Mall. Current plans call for its first phase to consist of a 35-storey tower, which will contain at-grade retail and a single level of underground parking. Upon full completion, this new master-planned community will comprise 12 residential buildings and an assortment of retail shops and other amenities.
With the Eglinton Crosstown LRT acting as a catalyst, Eglinton Avenue West is undergoing a rapid revamp into a walkable, transit-oriented corridor. Residents of 2400 Eglinton West will be able to take advantage of all of its conveniences:
- Eglinton Avenue is lined with a diverse array of shops and restaurants.
- The Beltline Trail starts just north of the development site, and offers a protected path as far east as the Don Valley.
- Coronation Park and Keelesdale Park are a short walk to the west.
- No Frills, Sobeys and an array of independent retailers are all located nearby.
Most importantly, these new condos will sit adjacent to the new Caledonia multi-modal station. This stellar connectivity will allow for easy access to Downtown Toronto, Pearson Airport and the Yonge & Eglinton area. Additionally, Caledonia GO station is planned to be built as part of the project, and will provide a faster and more direct route to Downtown Toronto – with frequent service seven days a week to be achieved through the GO Expansion project. For drivers, Allen Road and Black Creek Drive are both nearby, and offer a convenient route to Highway 400 and Highway 401.
