About Us
Since coming to Canada in 1962, Mario Cortellucci has turned a small excavating company into a real estate empire, and his group of companies continue to be one of the GTA’s most respected development companies. Cortel Group has been behind some of the region’s most distinct developments, and have done so through visually appealing architecture. In addition, they maintain a strong commitment to sustainability, and include the latest advancements in technology and energy-efficiency in all of their developments.
Cortel Group continues to be a family-run enterprise. Mario’s children now play an important role in the company’s operations, and ensure a bright future for this already-successful business. Cortel is guided by three core principles: sustainability, complete communities and a positive vision for the future. The company uses environmentally-friendly construction practices, and works to preserve the natural environment around their developments wherever possible. They also invest in the creation of streetscapes and communities that benefit both new and longtime residents. Finally, the Cortellucci family is proud to give back to the communities of which their company is a part, and his companies sponsor numerous local charities. They are especially interested in supporting youth education and environmental groups.
