Westerly Condos Condos: Development Info
Tridel has partnered with Hollyburn Properties (the owner of two nearby rental buildings) to develop the dual high-rises at 15-19 Cordova. The shorter Tower 1 is slated be owned by Tridel, and will be 20 storeys tall with 258 residential units. The 27-storey Tower 2, with 355 rental units, is to be owned and managed by Hollyburn. A full list of amenities is not yet available, however both buildings are slated to include rooftop terraces and outdoor amenity space at ground level. Additionally, indoor amenities will be included in both buildings-with much of the space in Tower One being located in a 4-storey podium.
Residents of Westerly Condos will have easy access to the long list of shopping, dining and transportation options available in Etobicoke City Centre:
- Dundas Street is lined with a number of shops and restaurants, with the vast majority of them being independently-owned.
- At the intersection of Islington Avenue and Bloor Street, Bloor Islington centre is home to a ServiceOntario location and a number of major employers.
- A Rabba is just steps to the north, while Sobeys and Loblaws both have locations in close proximity.
- Tom Riley Park is located a short walk to the east, and includes both walking trails and sports fields suitable for a variety of activities.
Islington subway station is within walking distance. In addition to being served by Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, it also serves as a major regional bus hub where both TTC and Mississauga Transit routes converge. Islington Avenue is served by both express and local bus service, while buses on Dundas Street run eastward through some of Toronto’s most vibrant neighborhoods. For direct service to Downtown Toronto, Kipling GO station is close by and offers weekday service via the Milton Line. Drivers can also take advantage of close proximity to Highway 427 and the Gardiner Expressway.
