About Us
The Conservatory Group can trace its history all the way back to 1957, when founder Ted Libfeld began building homes. A Holocaust survivor, after coming to Canada he worked in several different job fields before settling on real estate development. In 1979, he went into business with his two oldest sons Mark and Sheldon, and the Conservatory Group was born. Since then, the company has assembled a diverse portfolio of both high-rise and low-rise projects. In addition, it has also established a reputation for excellence in design and customer service.
Under the guidance of Mark and Sheldon Libfeld (now joined at the company by their younger brothers Jay and Corey), Conservatory has continued its founder’s focus on quality craftsmanship and community improvements. The company maintains working relationships with top architects and interior designers, and strives for a perfect combination of functionality and visual appeal on both interior and exterior designs. In both condominiums and single-family homes, Conservatory takes advantage of the latest innovations in building materials and construction techniques, while not losing sight of the traditional craftsmanship that helped make them a success. Finally, via careful site selection, the company makes sure that all of its clients have access to both vibrant neighborhoods and quality recreational spaces.
