About Us

Nothing has had more of an impact on Toronto’s development than the city’s streetcars. Wherever they ran, the surrounding streets became vibrant neighborhood focal points. Even on streets where the tracks have been paved over, their legacy remains in the form of thriving business districts. Like its namesake, Streetcar Developments aims to enhance the neighborhoods of which they are a part. This starts with picking excellent locations for their developments, leads to a planning and construction process where transparency and collaboration are the main focus, and ends with involvement with local organizations. In the process, Streetcar Developments has gained recognition and awards from prestigious industry organizations, including both BILD and the Toronto Urban Design Awards.

Since he founded Streetcar in 2002, Lee Mallins has had a vision of amplifying Toronto’s livability and cultural richness. To ensure that buyers have access to all the amenities this city has to offer, the company’s developments are always located in vibrant, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods-and have easy access to the streetcar system. In addition, Streetcar recognizes that a successful community is impossible without benefiting longtime residents as well as new ones. The company works to blend their developments seamlessly into the surrounding neighborhood, and does so with the help of top architects and craftsmen. Finally, Mallins and his team are firm believes in giving back to the communities of which they are a part. Thus, the company has donated extensively to charitable organizations throughout Toronto, and has sponsored events in conjunction with groups such as the Toronto Flower Market and WoodGreen Community Services.
