About Us
Mountainview Homes traces its history back to 1978. Founded by Lou Basciano and his two brothers-in-law (Lou and Frank Memme), it has since grown to become one of the Niagara Region’s most prominent developers of single-family homes. The company prides itself on helping buyers build their dream home. To do so, Mountainview maintains a large design centre and guarantees excellent customer service throughout the development process. In addition, the company donates extensively to charity organizations throughout the region.
Mountainview Homes is now run by siblings Mark and Michelle Basciano, as well as Frank’s son Mike Memme. Together, they have continued their parents’ commitment to quality design and craftsmanship. The company has embraced sustainability initiatives, and uses environmentally-friendly building materials and technologies. Through the use of energy-efficient features inside their homes, they are able to seamlessly blend sustainability and functionality-to the benefit of homeowners. In addition, Mountainview aims to make neighborhood improvements that are of use to both new and longtime residents. Finally, the company firmly believes in giving back to the communities of which it is a part. Mountainview Homes has sponsored the St. Catharines Falcons junior hockey team for the past four years, and is a major contributor to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation.
Previous Projects
Deerfield Estates. This master-planned community consists of a mixture of home styles and sizes. In addition to providing residents with easy access to numerous shopping and dining options, Deerfield is also close to both the Niagara Falls Golf Club and the Niagara United Soccer Club.
