Since its founding in 1955, Minto Group has prided itself on building not just quality homes but also communities that are desirable places to live. Beginning as a small developer in Ottawa, the company has since expanded both across Canada and into the Florida market. Yet throughout it all, Minto has remained committed to its core values of innovation, partnership and courage. This has led to the company placing itself amongst the country’s foremost developers.
Minto Group maintains a diverse portfolio, and can successfully claim experience with building residential (both condos and single-family homes) and commercial properties. Under the leadership of executive chairman Roger Greenberg and CEO Michael Waters, the company has also made sustainability their top priority when planning and constructing new developments. This takes the form of innovative design changes that benefits residents through cost savings, such as the installation of energy efficient lighting and plumbing. Minto has also created a company-wide environmental policy that lays out a strategy for environmentally-friendly business practices at every phase of development. The highlight of this push has been the construction of five Net Zero Energy (NZE) homes in Ottawa’s new Arcadia development. Minto has been honored with a number of sustainability awards, winning the BILD Green Builder Award in 2013 and 2017, as well as the Enercare Green Builder awards in 2015, 2014, 2012 and 2011.
Previous Projects
Minto 30 Roe. Situated in one of Toronto’s fastest-growing neighborhoods, 30 Roe rises 34 storeys and boasts a number of exciting amenities. In addition to stellar transit access (which will be amplified by the opening of the Eglinton Crosstown in 2021), the building includes a rooftop deck, a sauna and a rec room.
EI8HTY8 Condos. Location is key for this 34-storey tower-it is just steps away from Sheppard-Yonge subway station. The building also includes guest suites, an outdoor patio as well as party and media rooms.
Ivy Ridge Homes. In the midst of a pristine natural setting, Minto has designed the epitome of suburban living. This small collection of single-family homes and townhomes is perfectly situated for downtown workers, and also provides easy access to cottage country.
