About Us
Begun in 1997 as a property management company, Almadev (previously known as ELAD Canada until their rebranding in 2022) has since shifted its focus to the development of high-rise and mid-rise condos. They are involved in the creation of master-planned communities in cities across Canada. The company recognizes that a community cannot be created solely through the building of physical homes. Rather, improvements and amenities must be added to ensure a vibrant community for both residents and local citizens. In addition, Almadev believes in giving back to the communities of which it is a part, and has supported numerous local charities across the country.
Almadev-developed properties set themselves apart from similar sites through a higher level of livability. Streets are designed to be pedestrian-friendly instead of solely for cars, while frequent transit service is always located within walking distance. To serve the large numbers of new residents (as well as those of the surrounding neighborhood), state-of-the-art community centers are built. In the case of North York’s Emerald City, noted Canadian artist Douglas Coupland was tapped to lead a public art initiative on the site. Through their commitment to creating desirable and attractive communities, Almadev has shown itself to be a leader in Toronto’s development industry.
Previous Projects
Emerald City 1. In addition to its immaculately planned surroundings, this 36-storey tower boasts one of the most extensive amenity lists in Toronto. Onsite there is a yoga studio, pool, jacuzzi, rooftop deck, patio and guest suites. Don Mills Station on the Sheppard subway is also just steps away, while the Don Valley Parkway is also located nearby.
Nordelec. A strong example of revitalizing a forgotten urban space, this converted industrial building in Montreal now houses both condos and office space. Available amenities include a pool, a gym and a rooftop deck that provides stunning views of Mont Royal.
Dream Tower. A member of the Emerald City community since 2015, the Dream Tower rises to 25 storeys and also includes a long list of amenities-a jacuzzi, rooftop deck, party rooms, a pool and outdoor child play areas. Like its sister towers, Dream Tower is also close to both the Don Valley Parkway and the Sheppard Subway.
